THINGS TO DO
Wildlife
There is a ton of wildlife on the land. Enjoy it! You may see turkeys, quail, pheasant, possums, skunks (!), armadillos, deer, etc.
Hiking
You can hike anywhere you’d like on the land. Follow the roads or go off road! There is a trail marked by blue stakes that follows the creek up to the ridge overlooking the tent. We hope you enjoy the land as much as we do!
Fishing
Gear is in the tent. There are 8 ponds on the land, but the easiest fishing is off the dock or dam into the lake!
Games
Corn Hole, Badminton, Horseshoes, Frisbee, Volleyball. Check the tent area for equipment.
Swimming Pool (Flint Oak)
There’s a pool at Flint Oak and it will be open this weekend for us. Bring your towel with you!
Skeet/Trap Shooting (Flint Oak)
People come from all over the country to shoot at Flint Oak. It’s a lot like golf. Just go to the pro shop and let them know you’d like to shoot and they’ll get you set up!
Sporting Clays Tournament (Flint Oak)
While the bride gets ready on Saturday, come over to Flint Oak and participate in the sporting clays tournament. Sign up Friday night at the rehearsal dinner. $50 to Flint Oak.

CRITTERS
While you're sharing the outdoors with some cool critters like quail, armadillos, and turkeys, you're also sharing it with mosquitoes & ticks. Common areas are mowed and treated, but here are a few pointers to avoid nuisances…
☝🏼... Spray your ankles, neckline, and any exposed areas with repellant
✌🏼... Wear long pants and clothing with sleeves when exploring
👌🏼... Bugs prefer wooded areas, high grass, and piles of leaves
Tick checks by couples are extremely effective---- on several levels. Check under arms, around ears, behind knees, and in your hair. Shake out the clothes you were wearing outside. All done!
